About Us

Milestone Research was founded in 1993by Robin Jones and has since become of the foremost prospect research agencies in the UK. Our clients include many UK charities and international not-for-profit organisations. Our research expertise includes identifying new income streams for his clients, from a range of sources including high net worth individuals, corporates, grant making foundations and statutory organisations. Milestone research also undertakes feasibility research projects, competitor analysis and international prospect research with a particular interest in funding from the United States.

Paul Jackson is Milestone’s database consultant with over 20 years experience working as an IT professional in a consultancy environment. He joined Milestone Research in May 2011. 

Paul’s IT experience covers project management, systems and business analysis and systems development, working with clients across a wide range of industries. Paul now specialises in CRM systems for the Not for Profit sector and divides his time between being a charity database manager and providing a consultancy service to existing and new clients. 

After completing a mathematics degree at ImperialCollege, Paul worked in operational research before moving into consultancy. He has undertaken system requirements specifications and database reviews; managed database and system implementations; and carried out data migration and integration projects. 

Paul has also developed bespoke databases systems for clients, both operationally and for data analysis and modelling; and carried out database training courses for client staff. 

He is used to, and enjoys, working with staff at all levels of an organisation.
